Installing Feluda with 5IRE

Feluda is a portable context server that integrates with the 5IRE desktop app, giving you offline toolchain support, structured memory, and vault-based API key access via the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Step-by-step Instructions

Step 1: Download and Install 5IRE

  1. Visit https://5ire.app/
  2. Download the latest desktop version for your operating system
  3. Install and launch the 5IRE application

Step 2: Download Feluda

  1. Go to https://feluda.ai/download
  2. Select and download the correct binary:
    • Windows: feluda.exe
    • macOS/Linux: feluda and run chmod +x feluda

Step 3: Register Feluda as MCP Tool

In 5IRE, go to the Tools section and click +Local. Browse to the location of your Feluda binary and confirm.

Use the file picker to select feluda.exe or your Linux/macOS binary.

Once added, Feluda will appear in your 5IRE MCP tool list and will be ready for immediate use.

Step 4: Vault Access (Optional)

  1. Double-click the feluda binary to open the Vault UI
  2. Add your API keys securely (e.g. OpenAI, NewsAPI, HuggingFace, etc.)
  3. Feluda will automatically use them inside any active gene/tool that requires them

You're Ready!

5IRE is now connected to your local Feluda MCP server. You can run secure, structured local tools using LLMs, memory, and API-based logic directly from your 5IRE environment.
