Gene-SVG — AI-Powered SVG Graphics Library and Background Generator

By Reza Rafati

What is Gene-SVG?

Gene-SVG turns your AI agent into a professional vector graphics designer with access to a library of brand logos. It can generate clean, scalable SVG artwork — icons, logos, illustrations, UI elements, and premium website backgrounds — find and import company logos from the SVGL API, and organize everything into a searchable library with full metadata.

Instead of hunting for stock icons, searching for brand logos manually, or hiring a designer for every background, you describe what you want and the AI creates or finds it. The SVG files are production-ready, self-contained, and organized so you can find them later.

What Can It Do?

Create Original SVGs

The AI generates original vector artwork across multiple categories:

Icons — Clean, minimal icons at 24x24 with consistent stroke widths and recognizable silhouettes. Perfect for navigation, dashboards, buttons, and UI components. The AI can generate entire icon sets with a cohesive style.

Logos — Distinctive, memorable logo marks that work in monochrome and scale from favicon to billboard. Designed with balanced positive and negative space for professional brand identity.

Illustrations — Rich compositions at 800x600 with foreground and background elements, cohesive color palettes, and clear focal points. Suitable for hero sections, empty states, and feature spotlights.

UI Elements — Buttons, cards, form elements, and interface components designed for actual use in web applications. Consistent with your chosen style and ready to implement.

Premium Website Backgrounds — Large-format backgrounds at 1600x900 or 1920x1080 with layered gradients, abstract organic shapes, soft glowing lights, geometric accents, fine grid overlays, and floating particles. The aesthetic matches premium SaaS and technology websites.

Find Brand Logos

The Gene connects to the SVGL API, a free repository of over 900 SVG brand logos across 41 categories including Software (283 logos), AI (67 logos), Design (62 logos), Framework (52 logos), and many more. You can search by company name, browse by category, and fetch optimized SVG code ready to use in your projects.

How the Library Works

Every SVG is stored in a named folder on disk. Each folder has a catalog that tracks every file with detailed metadata:

  • Filename and title
  • Description of what it represents
  • Category: icons, logos, illustrations, UI elements, backgrounds, charts, decorations, diagrams
  • Style: minimal, flat, gradient, hand-drawn, isometric, line-art, filled, duotone, geometric, illustrative
  • Tags for searchability
  • Author name
  • Color palette used
  • ViewBox dimensions

You can search across all folders by any metadata field. Need all minimal-style navigation icons? Search for it. Want every SVG that uses a specific hex color? Search for it. The library grows with you and stays organized.

Three Tools and Two AI Prompts

Gene-SVG includes three tools and two specialized AI prompts:

svgLibrary — The core library manager. Create folders, save SVGs with full metadata, search across collections, list and update files. Nine operations for complete asset management.

svglApi — The brand logo finder. Search the SVGL repository by company name, browse by category, list all available categories, and fetch raw SVG code. Five operations covering the full SVGL API.

dataspaceCrud — Low-level file operations for advanced use cases.

SVG Stock Image Creator (prompt) handles general vector design. It guides the AI through folder setup, composition planning, code generation, and metadata-rich saving with style guidelines for each type.

SVG Background Generator (prompt) specializes in premium website backgrounds using professional SVG techniques like feGaussianBlur, pattern elements, smooth bezier curves, and layered opacity.

Who Is This For?

  • Web designers who need custom icons, illustrations, backgrounds, and brand logos
  • Developers building SaaS products who want premium backgrounds and UI elements
  • Content creators who need featured images and decorative graphics
  • Startup founders who want professional-looking assets without a design budget
  • Anyone who needs clean, production-ready SVG graphics and wants them organized

How to Get Started

  1. Load the Gene into your Feluda environment
  2. Tell the AI what you need — a theme, a style, a company name, a quantity
  3. The AI creates or finds SVGs and saves everything with metadata
  4. Browse, search, and reuse your growing library anytime

No design software needed. No SVG coding required. No manual logo hunting. Just describe what you want.

What It Will Not Do

Gene-SVG creates original vector artwork and finds publicly available brand logos. It will not copy existing copyrighted designs beyond what brand owners have published, reproduce trademarked logos without permission, or generate photorealistic images. It works purely in SVG — vector shapes, gradients, and filters. For raster images or photos, you will need a different tool.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of SVG graphics can Gene-SVG create?
The Gene includes two specialized AI prompts. The SVG Creator handles icons (24x24), logos, illustrations (800x600), and UI elements. The Background Generator creates premium website backgrounds (1600x900 or 1920x1080) with layered gradients, organic shapes, soft glows, grid overlays, and floating particles — artwork comparable to sites like Stripe, Vercel, and Linear.
Can it also find existing brand logos?
Yes. The Gene includes the SVGL API tool, which connects to a free repository of over 900 SVG brand logos across 41 categories — Software, AI, Framework, Library, Design, Crypto, Social, and more. You can search by company name, browse by category, and fetch optimized SVG code ready to use.
How does the library organization work?
SVGs are stored in named folders on disk. Each folder has a catalog file that tracks every SVG with metadata: title, description, category, style, tags, author, colors, and viewBox. You can search across all folders by any metadata field. This means a library of hundreds of SVGs stays organized and findable.
Can I use the generated SVGs on a commercial website?
Yes. Every AI-generated SVG is self-contained with no external dependencies, fonts, or images. They use standard vector elements, proper viewBox attributes, and scale to any screen size. The AI generates original designs — not copies of existing artwork. Brand logos from the SVGL API are provided by the respective companies and should be used according to their brand guidelines.
Do I need to know SVG code to use this?
No. You describe what you want — a theme, a style, a color palette, or a company name — and the AI handles everything. The Gene manages viewBox sizing, gradient definitions, filter effects, API calls, and metadata tracking. You get production-ready SVG files without writing a single line of code.
