Secrets
Secrets such as API keys, tokens, and credentials are never exposed to the AI model. By default, secrets are managed securely on the operating system where Feluda.ai is running.
Gene Secrets
Feluda.ai smartly leverages your device's native secrets manager for Gene secrets. When a Gene needs API keys or other credentials, those secrets are provisioned via the Feluda Studio Client and stored locally on your operating system.
How it works:
- Set by Studio: The Feluda Studio Client sets the required secrets on your device; the model or remote services never receive the raw secret during this step.
- Stored locally: Secrets remain on your machine in the OS-managed secret store or other local secret provider — they are not sent to models or to Feluda.ai servers by default.
- Accessed securely: When a Gene needs a secret at runtime, it retrieves it from the local secret store through secure, audited get/set calls; the AI model never sees the secret value.
